CHRISTINA KING

My interest in the world of plant design began while living in San Francisco after college.  During my spare time I would find myself wandering local nurseries and immersing myself in the thoughtful planting schemes and inspired designs of the Bay Area’s parks and gardens.  Being around plants and simply being outdoors invigorated me, filling me with feelings of happiness and appreciation of nature’s beauty.

Motivated by this passion together with my experiences working at a nursery and several landscape design companies I was able to build an extensive knowledge of plants and gardening practices.  In 2010 I begin to practice design and installation independently.   In 2016 I completed my Masters of Landscape Architecture at North Carolina State University with a Certificate in City Design from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

My goal is to create gardens capes that integrate exterior and interior spaces, providing a transitional space with multiple opportunities for rich experiences.  I don’t think a garden is complete unless it evokes an awareness of your surroundings and desire to get outside and tap into the beauty of nature.
